2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max: An Off-Road Icon

2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max: An Off-Road Icon

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max is one of the most popular and well-known cult-classic vehicles. This rugged and versatile mid-size pickup packs plenty of capability and toughness in a tight package that’s perfect for a wide range of roads and tasks. From work to play and back again, the 2025 Toyota Tacoma is built for it all.

With the new Toyota Tacoma release date now behind us, we’re excited to bring this popular pick-up to Mobile, AL. Let’s start with a deep dive into the 2025 Tacoma specs and features.

What Does i-Force Max Mean?

The i-Force Max designation is applied to the Toyota Tacoma hybrid engine models. 2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max models get the i-FORCE MAX 2.4L turbocharged inline-four hybrid powertrain, which produces a massive 326 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque.

That powerplant drives all four wheels through an eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with sequential shift mode, and uphill/downhill shift logic for better performance in hilly terrain. Toyota’s renowned 4WDemand part-time 4-Wheel Drive system with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case offers high and low range gearing for maximum traction and drive, no matter the road conditions.

Despite the impressive power the i-Force Max engine delivers, it delivers thrifty fuel economy of up to 22/24/23 MPG city/highway/combined. The Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max towing capacity is 6,000 lb.

2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max Upgrades

For 2025, Toyota has further improved the off-road readiness of its reliable pickup, with front and rear tow hooks now on all trim levels. Tacomas are well known for upfitting and modifications, and the electrical system can now handle up to 95 amps of draw. These more powerful auxiliary switches help to run Genuine Toyota accessories and aftermarket upgrades like lightbars, winches, and more.

On the style front, SpringHill drivers can now opt for Terra paint on all TRD trims.
