Let’s explore this together. Used models always receive a thorough inspection from our technicians before we post the listing. Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV) are also given a thorough inspection, but they must meet the Toyota brand’s strict standards as well as our own. After meeting the age and mileage requirements, used Toyota models under consideration must pass the rigorous 160-point inspection and the CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ is reviewed. Major perks of purchasing a TCUV include the 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Warranty,1 the 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty2 and 24-hour Roadside Assistance for seven years or 100,000 miles.3 You won’t get this level of coverage with a regular used vehicle!
It’s changed over the years. The average mileage that most would have considered “undriveable” has climbed, thanks to the innovative powertrain technology and advancing efficiency. Models in the past would have had major issues around the 200,000-mile mark, but today’s modern marvels can surpass that threshold with ease. You could see many more miles out of your used car, even up to 300,000 miles. It largely depends on the make and model, how you drive and how often it’s serviced, so do your research on the average longevity of the brand and thoroughly read the model’s CARFAX®.
